Hey wow, a movie about a group of friends who go up to a cabin in the woods, how ever did they think of this? Actually, despite a familiar set-up and characters that don’t always ring completely true, this dramatic little soaper isn’t a chore to sit through. A group of friends gather for a reunion in the woods, friends since high school who convene once in a very blue moon in order to catch up. A wrench is thrown in the works, however, when squeaky-clean cabin owner’s bad boy brother shows up and makes trouble. Even more trouble begins when two of the fellas decide to share a bunk. The drama is left unresolved in the film’s conclusion, and the after-effect suffers as a result. Some of the performances get a little dodgy when they’re pushed to the red alert level, but there are enough strong moments to keep it from hurting.
