Katharine Hepburn shines in this tale of a career woman who just can’t take so easily to marriage. Meeting up with sports writer Spencer Tracy, the two enjoy a wonderful romance until he proposes and she gladly accepts. While Tracy can handle that she’s employed, he can’t deal with the fact that her need for independence pushes her to order her priorities with him constantly in final place. One of the very best films about women made in the forties, featuring Hepburn and Tracy at the peak of their form.
