Though it isn’t up to the standards of their earlier work like Woman Of The Year or Adam’s Rib, this Katharine Hepburn–Spencer Tracy vehicle is colourful and fun. He plays the new manager of a television station’s research department who is brought in to rework some things around the office, and he immediately meets the resistance of a tough, no-nonsense employee (Hepburn) with a lot of sass to spare. Joan Blondell is hilarious as a co-worker in this adaptation of the popular Broadway play.
