Turkish Passion (La Pasion Turca)

(out of 5)

Limp soap opera about a Spanish woman who, following a miscarriage, travels with her husband to exotic Istanbul to find some peace of mind. There she meets a sexy antiques dealer () with whom she starts a torrid affair, eventually leaving her husband and becoming her swarthy lover’s sex slave. His abuse of her, emotionally and physically alike, can only last so long, and she eventually takes matters into her own hands. Vicente Aranda is not successful at making the intrigue any fun, and the film comes off as totally sleazy.
