Elizabeth Perkins loses her husband in a car accident and finds herself too paralyzed from shock to experience any grief. Her mother (Kathleen Turner) and younger sister (Gwyneth Paltrow) try to help by being there for her, but it seems that nothing can get her out of a deep funk that she’s found herself in. Jon Bon Jovi makes a notable screen debut as her possible salvation in this sometimes touching but mostly forgettable drama, one worth watching if you’re a fan of any of the cast members.
