Relentlessly depressing psychosexual drama about the rough life of Turkish immigrants living in modern day Berlin. A drag queen performer lives with a street hustler who calls himself Bilidikid, who is trying to pressure his boyfriend to have a sex-change operation and become a woman so that they will become what he calls ‘normal’. Other characters interact in various serious and sometimes unwatchable ways in a film that could have been so much more effective if it had featured at least a little humour. As it is, the only semblance of humanity comes from a hard-bitten old lady who finally faces the fact that her bachelor son is not waiting for the right girl to come along, and even befriends the immigrant streetwalker that he brings home.
