Movie Reviews By Bil Antoniou

Flying Down To Rio

BBB

(out of 5)

Cheesy musical isn’t worth remembering except it is the first time that and were paired together. The film is actually about a band leader who falls in love with Brazilian singer , but crowds went wild for the famous dancing couple and from then on they were the leads in their films and not just the supporting players. The scene where the chorus girls dance while on top of a flying airplane’s wings is so campy as to be complete, unadulterated kitsch, but the film is undeniably fun.
