A Walk In The Spring Rain

(out of 5)

A sweet tale of love blossoming between two middle-agers from complete opposite sides of society.  spends a summer in the Smokey Mountains of Tennessee with her law professor husband, who is hoping to write a book in the peace and quiet of the country.  Local handyman  is always around to help fix things, immediately taking a shining to Miss Bergman while she, virtually ignored by her husband, is totally turned on by his attentions to her. Bridges Of Madison County fans will recognize the trappings, and nothing is unpredictable here, but Bergman delivers a world-class performance (as usual) and Stirling Silliphant’s dialogue is superbly intelligent throughout.  The fight scenes in the film were choreographed by Bruce Lee!
